Larry Wayne Frey, 73, Ligonier, passed away peacefully of natural causes Sunday, Jan. 21, at his home.
He was born Oct. 25, 1944, to Sylvanus S. and Marietta L. (Miller) Frey in Wolf Lake.
Larry was an area resident of Ligonier all his life. He was a past member of the Maple Grove Church of Topeka. He liked to ride his bicycle in and around town and attend the many auctions in the nearby towns. Larry enjoyed farming, cutting wood and watching the many birds that visited his feeders around the property.
He is survived by five siblings, Mary (Morry) Godfrey, Wawaka, Carol Frain, Ligonier, John (Lynn) Frey, Mishawaka, Jim Frey, Goshen, and Sherri Rosenogle, Albion; nieces and nephews, Christina, Tim, and Jeff Frain, Susan (Chris) Senn, Laurie Frey, Heather (Marc) Eash, Jennifer Rosenogle and Ryan (Torie) Rosenogle; eight great-nieces and great-nephews; a great-great-nephew; and step siblings, Tamra (Phil) Gerber, Paula (Gary) Yoder,and Craig (Beth) Helman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five aunts and stepmother, Theda "Dot" (Helman) Frey.
A funeral service in Larry's honor will take place Sunday, Jan. 28, at 3 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767, with Pastor Joey Nelson officiating.
There will be a time of visitation from noon until 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Topeka.
Memorial contributions in Larry's honor may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
