Kenneth Wade Strieby, 61, Marshall, Illinois, passed away at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana, Saturday, May 6.
He was born in Goshen, Indiana, Oct. 22, 1955, to Phillip Strieby and Shirley Strieby (Case).
Kenneth loved to teach music and had a passion for theater. He taught music at Lincoln Trail College and several schools in Indiana and Illinois corporations.
Kenneth loved being "Popol" to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cindy, and his father, Phillip Strieby. They have three daughters, Greta Baker, Krista Nave and Kendra Henthorne and husband, Michael; a sister, Lori Barsoda, and husband Greg.
He has eight grandchildren, Landon, Logann, Dorian, Kimberlyn, Catherine, Oscar, Alexus and Michael Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Strieby; stepmother, Sharon Strieby; and a brother, Bob Strieby.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lincoln Trail College music or theater departments.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. EST Friday, May 12, at Roselawn Funeral Home, Terre Haute. Pastor Jay Regennitter will officiate.
There will be visitation Thursday May 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. EST and two hours before service time Friday, May 12, at the funeral home.
According to his wishes, cremation has been scheduled.
