Kenneth "Kenny" Lee Morningstar, 64, Wakarusa, died at 5:28 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Miller's Merry Manor.
He was born Nov. 2, 1954, in Elkhart to Delbert Ray and Gladys (Ramer) Morningstar.
On Dec. 3, 1982, he married Connie (Hunsberger) Morningstar.
Surviving are his wife, Connie, Wakarusa; sons, Shane (Sharla) Weldy, Wakarusa, Shawn (Kristine) Weldy, Wakarusa, Chad Morningstar, Nappanee, and Brody (Diana) Morningstar, Nappanee; 10 grandchildren, Avery, Izzy, Kalab, Hanna, Saige, Evan, Kelsy, Carlene, Ava and Paisley; and siblings, Carol Jean (Neil) Fogo, Wakarusa, and Glenn Lamar (JoAnn) Morningstar, Wakarusa.
Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother, Robert Dean Morningstar.
Kenny was a 1973 graduate of NorthWood High School. He was a woodworker for the RV industry and self-employed at The Oak Hole for more than 20 years.
Kenny loved his John Deere, golf and fishing. He enjoyed yard work, being outside and was a Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame fan.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday, June 8, and one hour prior to the 2 p.m. service Sunday, June 9, all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa. Pastor Harold Knight of Wakarusa Missionary Church will officiate.
Burial will follow at Olive (West) Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be directed to Cancer Resources for Elkhart County.
