Joyce Lee Gross, 79, Goshen, formerly of Bristol, passed away Monday, Jan. 1, at Courtyard HealthCare in Goshen.
She was born Sept. 3, 1938, to James A. and Virginia L. (Nelson) Margison, in Indianapolis.
On June 8, 1958, she married Dale A. Gross in Wolcott, and had lived in the Bristol area since. He died Oct. 7, 2001.
She is survived by a sister, Donna Saunders of Middlebury, and a brother, Robert (Beverly) Margison of New Mexico. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Vicki Myers, Michael Beasey, Rick Sigman, Steve Sigman, Mark Sigman, Jo Rood, Bret Margison, Bart Margison, Betty Meyer, Deb Nunez, Bruce Margison, Beth Moore and Lisa Price, along with many of her husband's nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; sister Maxine Beasey; and brothers, Harold Margison and Byron Margison.
Joyce worked at Ventline Manufacturing for 34 years, retiring in 2003. She was a member of the Bristol United Methodist Church where she volunteered in the kitchen for many years, preparing Wednesday evening suppers.
Viewing will take place at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, Saturday, Jan. 6, at noon, followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. Services will be conducted by nephews Rick Sigman and Ed Myers.
Burial will be at Ivan's Cemetery, Middlebury.
