Josephine Vera, 78, Goshen, died 12:40 a.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at her home. She was born Aug. 22, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas, to Bennie and Nellie (Reyes) Luna Sr.
On June 6, 1956, she married Frank Vera Sr. He died May 14, 2012.
Surviving are sons, Frank Vera Jr., Elkhart, Victor Lee (Gena) Vera, Xenia, Ohio, Leroy (Sandy) Vera, Waldorf, Maryland, daughter, Doris (Bob) Yenna, LaGrange; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brothers, Richard Luna, Houston, Texas, and David (Gloria) Luna, Huntsville, Texas.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, son, Daniel Vera, sisters, Angel and Beatrice Luna, and brothers, Bennie Luna Jr. and Larry Luna.
Josephine was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. She worked as a housekeeper at Greencroft.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service Friday, Feb. 16, all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor Bob Yenna and Pastor Michael Curton will officiate. Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery.
