Jon Allen Miller, 80, Warsaw, passed away Tuesday Jan. 23, at 12:37 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
He was born June 25, 1937, along with his twin brother, Jan, to Kenneth and Darlene (Tharp) Miller in Goshen. They joined an older brother, Duane.
He attended Waterford Elementary School, Goshen, and graduated from New Paris High School. He received an associate's degree in accounting from International Business College, Fort Wayne.
He married Sarah Lee Lopp and raised their children, Leisha and Darren Miller. They divorced in 1977.
He was united in marriage to Sonya Kennedy in 1978 in Warsaw. Sonya had a daughter, Amy.
He worked for Studebaker and B.A. Lehman accounting and then for Troyer Foods, Goshen, retiring after 33 years as an accountant. He was a member of Warsaw First Brethren Church.
Being a twin made Jon a competitive person, so his natural passion was sports, bowling, golf and softball. Jon would like to be remembered as one of the Miller twins who enjoyed life.
He is survived by his wife, Sonya Miller, Warsaw; son Darren Miller, Osceola; two daughters, Leisha (Miguel) Ortiz, Atlanta, Georgia, and Amy (Verton) Troyer, Warsaw; three grandchildren Logan Fincher, Atlanta, Jason (Cora) Kennedy, Huntington, and Brittany Kennedy, Warsaw, who made him proud. He also had several nieces and nephews, also his dog, Abby.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation was private. A committal service took place at Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, Warsaw, Jan. 29, with interment at Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor Howard Immel served as officiant.
