Jeffrey L. Pletcher, 63, Battle Creek Michigan, formerly of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away from natural causes Thursday, Feb. 15, after receiving compassionate care from the staff at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
Jeff was born Dec. 5, 1954, to parents Virgil and Dorothy (Nelson) Pletcher, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include stepmother, Kathryn Pletcher; brother, Stephen (Laura) Pletcher, Bristol, Indiana; sister, Kim (Mike) Yoder, Middlebury, Indiana; nieces, Nikki Cashbaugh and Staci (Brett) Budreau; nephews, Andrew (Tish) Pletcher and Brett Yoder; three great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
Jeff graduated from Concord High School in 1973 and Indiana State University with a degree in music education.
After graduation he was a member of a drum corps that competed and traveled throughout the United States.
Jeff also taught music in several high schools throughout northern Indiana until starting his own computer software consulting company. Jeff continued his passion for music throughout his life.
His two dogs, Stanley and Sadie, were his constant companions, accompanying him where ever he went.
According to his wishes, cremation will take place with a private family celebration of life at a later date. At this time, the family wishes those who knew Jeff to take a moment to remember Jeff and reflect on the memories of good times or moments during his life.
