Jane C. Huenerkopf, 73, Elkhart, formerly of Shipshewana, died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Woodland Manor Nursing and Rehab.
She was born Dec. 17, 1943, in Sturgis, Michigan, to Thomas and Evelyn (Mooney) Gadson.
On May 27, 1978, in Elkhart, she married Carl Huenerkopf. He died Sept. 22, 1978.
Surviving are three brothers, Robert (Carol) Gadson, Shipshewana, Harry Gadson, Peoria, Arizona, and Richard (Kathy) Gadson, Bremen; and two sisters-in-law, Jean Gadson, Middlebury, and Nancy Gadson, Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Donald and Ray Gadson; and three sisters, Esther Grams, Beatrice Gadson and Shirley Gadson.
Jane was a member of Scott United Methodist Church. She loved her many nieces and nephews and enjoyed reading and listening to music.
Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Monday, Oct. 30, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastor Christopher White.
Burial will be at Scott Cemetery, Shipshewana.
Memorials may be given to Woodland Manor Nursing and Rehab.
