Jack Franklin Manrow died Dec. 24, 2018, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, of natural causes.
Jack was born in Goshen, Indiana, in December 1921. After graduating from Goshen High School, he studied engineering at Indiana Tech until 1943 when college was interrupted to enlist in the Army Air Force.
He served three years as a B17 bomber pilot in the 369th Bomb Squadron/306th Bombing Group in the Central European Theater through August 1946.
After the war Jack re-entered college and graduated in 1948 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
He and his wife and high school sweetheart, Madge DeWilde Manrow had a daughter, Debbie in 1954 and moved to Florida in 1959 where he and his family enjoyed boating and fishing.
Jack had a quiet, intimate relationship with our Lord and displayed this love through caring for his family, fighting for his country and loving every living thing that climbed on this earth or flew in the sky.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Madge Manrow; brother, Wally Manrow; and parents, Wallace and Louise Manrow.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah, and her husband, Philip; grandson, Christopher, and his wife, Nikki; and great-grandchildren, McKailee and C.J.; grandson, Ryan, and his wife Heather; niece, Alice Ann Troy; and sister-in-law, Gladys Bickel, Goshen.
Date for burial at Violett Cemetery in Goshen has yet to be determined.
A memorial service will take place 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 2401 S. University Drive, Davie, FL 33325 USA. See full obituary at FredHunters.com
