Hunter's Story

Hunter Isaac Migedt, 22, Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Goshen, Indiana, died March 11, in Fort Myers.
He was born July 22, 1995, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Ronald and Angela (VanArsdale) Migedt Sr.
Surviving are his parents, Ronald and Angela Migedt, Venice and Goshen; brother, Johnny (Chelsea) Migedt, Elkhart; sister, Mindy Migedt, Goshen; nephews, JJ and Michael Migedt; paternal grandmother, Barbara Migedt, Venice; maternal grandmother, Marilyn VanArsdale (stepgrandfather, Skip Kurtz); many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind numerous Kappa Sigma fraternity brothers.
Preceding him in death are his paternal grandfather, Larry Migedt, and maternal grandfather, Phillip VanArsdale.
Hunter was raised in Goshen by parents, Ron and Angela Migedt, along with his brother, Johnny, and his sister, Mindy. He spent much of his life on the Gulf Coast of Florida, where his family owned a second residence.
He led an active lifestyle which included sport shooting, lacrosse, golf, paddleboarding, fishing and prairie dog hunting with his uncles.
He graduated from Northridge High School in 2014. At Northridge, Hunter was a part of the golf team and played lacrosse for the Northridge Raiders.
His passion for the Sunshine State eventually led him to attend Florida Gulf Coast University. While at FGCU, he was a Kappa Sigma brother, a member of the FGCU lacrosse team and was involved in student government. He was in his senior year at FGCU as a business major.
Hunter was a member of New Creation Fellowship, Granger, Indiana.
Hunter was a proud NRA member. Starting from a young age, he competed as a benchrest shooter. His love for sport shooting only grew with time.
Hunter's smile was infectious, it made an indelible impression on everyone he encountered. His genuine love for his family and friends truly exemplified Christ's love for us. He lived a life filled with love for the Lord, his family and his friends. Hunter Isaac Migedt was a loyal friend to many and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 17, with a service following at noon, all at New Creation Fellowship, 30190 C.R. 10, Granger, IN 46530. Pastor Arnie Klahr will officiate.
