Gerald Lee Cripe, 74, Goshen, died at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, at his son's residence in Middlebury after a brief illness.
He was born May 26, 1943, in Goshen, to Marshall and Agnes (Koher) Cripe.
Surviving are a son, Bryan (Kathy) Cripe, Middlebury; sister, Sharol Cripe, Englewood, Florida; two brothers, Harold Cripe, Goshen, and Royce (Tammy) Cripe, Center Hill, Florida; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dennis and Carl; and sister, Marsha.
Gerald was a painter at Starcraft in earlier years, worked at VanderWey and Son Masonry and later worked with his son at Cripe Masonry. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting.
A memorial service will take place at a later date. There will be a private burial in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.
