Freida Marie Raber, 75, Middlebury, died at 11:55 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 8 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital, following a stroke she had two weeks ago.
She was born March 9, 1942 in, LaGrange County, to Mahlon and Lizzie (Schrock) Hostetler.
On Dec. 6, 1962 in LaGrange County she married Mahlon Raber. He survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are four daughters, LeAnna (Levi) Bontrager and Treva (David) Lambright both of Shipshewana, Erma (Jonas, Jr.) Miller, Millersburg, Leah Fern (Dennis) Hochstetler, Bremen; three sons, Willard (Linda) Raber, Shipshewana, Maynard (Darlene) Raber, Middlebury, Mahlon Jr. (Jamie) Raber, Ligonier; 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; four sisters, Ida Frey, Ligonier, Orpha Miller, Shipshewana, Lizzie Ann Lehman, Topeka, Leah Fern Hostetler, Shipshewana; and two brothers, Daniel Hostetler, Shipshewana, LaVern Hostetler, Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Nina Hostetler, Anna Miller, Mary Etta Eash and Mabel Mast and two brothers, David and Eldon Hostetler.
Freida was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. She was currently working at Jojo's Pretzels in Shipshewana, where she had worked for several years. Visitation was Thursday, Nov. 9, and will continue all day Friday, Nov. 10, at the family residence, 0570 North 1000 West, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday Nov. 11, at the Mervin Wingard residence, 0635 North 1000 West, Shipshewana. Services will be conducted by Bishop Wilbur E. Miller and the home ministers. Burial will be in Forks Cemetery, Middlebury.
