Floyd's Story

LAGRANGE- Floyd D. Lantz, 90, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, at his residence. He was born on Dec. 4, 1927, in Topeka, to Edward and Elizabeth A. (Yoder) Lantz.
On July 26, 1975, he married Janie E. (Smith) Lantz, his wife of 42 years.
In addition to his wife, survivors include eight children, Roger Lantz of Mesa, Arizona, Danny (Janet) Lantz of Syracuse, Charles Lantz of Shelbyville, Diana Lantz of Ligonier, Michael (Missy) Lantz of Goshen, Linda Thomas of Middlebury, Debra (Lee) Evans of Wolcottville and Heidi (Ron) Sisco of LaGrange; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Floyd was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte; sister, Treva Miller; and three brothers, Delbert, Virgil and Harlan Lantz.
Floyd worked in the interior decorating business for several years prior to his retirement.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and past member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
Floyd often enjoyed spending time working in his yard, woodworking and traveling.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at the Goshen DAV 15, 708 W. Pike St., Goshen.
Elkhart Cremation Services, 1200 W. Franklin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
