Ezra Jones, 82, Beech Grove, formerly of Goshen, died at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at his home.
He was born June 17, 1936, in Dubois, to Perry E. and Iva H. (Reynolds) Jones.
On Dec. 10, 1966, he married Maridean Kraft. She died Feb. 6, 1990.
He married Helen Sheley May 19, 1991. She died March 10, 2001.
On Sept. 13, 2003, he married Peggy Renfro. She died June 13, 2009.
He married Ruth Gaunt Jones Aug. 28, 2010.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth; daughters, Carol (Andy) Darznicks and Terri (Jim) Zimmerman, both of Houston, Texas, Dawn (Philip) Randall, Pierceton, and Shelly (Roger) Guard, Plymouth; sons, Timothy (Michelle) Jones, Goshen, and Jeffery P. Jones, Seattle, Washington; stepchildren, Nancy Sue (Tim) Schmucker, Etna Green, Thomas (Jean) Gaunt and Herbert (Denise) Gaunt; sister, Lou Smith, Jackson, Alabama; brother, Oscar (Ruth) Jones, Dubois; sisters-in-law, Joan Jones, Indianapolis, Rose Anderson and Mary Jones; 17 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents; sons, Rick and Rodney Warthan; stepson, Steven Gaunt; sisters, Marie Westner and Lois Emmons; and brothers, Vernon, Clyde, Ernest and Dale Jones.
Ezra was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of both the DAV and Moose Lodge, Goshen. He was an assistant manager at Kmart, Elkhart, and was a member of St. Mark's Free Lutheran Church, Indianapolis.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen.
A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 417 S. Main St., Goshen. Deacon Dave Elchert will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date at West Goshen Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Elkhart County Cancer Society.

I was so sorry to hear of "Jonesy's" passing. He was such a nice, good husband to John's Aunt Susie (Helen). My thoughts and prayers for your entire family.
