Evelyn Johnson, 91, formerly of Syracuse, passed away Sunday, Nov. 5, at Greencroft in Goshen.
She was born Feb. 7, 1926, in North Webster, to Homer Russell and Elizabeth (Mock) Baker.
On April 29, 1945, she married Frank Johnson, who preceded her in 2000.
She was a 1944 Milford High School graduate. She was a member of the New Salem Church of the Brethren, and most recently the New Paris Church of the Brethren. She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Schmidt, Bremen, and Nancy Stansberry, Fort Wayne; three grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; husband; son, Arnold Russell Johnson; infant sister, Dorothy Jane Baker; and two brothers, Bruce and Phillip Baker.
Services will be held Sunday, Nov. 12, at 3:30 p.m. at the Eastlund Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Godfrey officiating.
Calling will be from 1:30 until 3:30 p.m.
Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Paris Church of the Brethren.
