Eugene Clair Stouder, 92, Goshen, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Sunday, June 4, at his residence.
He was born April 7, 1925, in Nappanee, to Farell C. and Gladys (Strycker) Stouder.
On June 2, 1946, he married Lois (Lantz) Stouder. She passed away Feb. 15, 2013.
Surviving are his two children, Connie Ritchie, Edwardsburg, Michigan, and Dennis E. (Cathy) Stouder, Elkhart; six grandchildren, Deanna Yoder, Dana Blucker, Timothy Stouder, Toni Stouder, Derek Stouder and Courtney Stouder; and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert R. and Keith D. Stouder.
Eugene was a veteran who served during World War II. He was discharged from the service in 1946. He retired from research and development at Smoker Craft, New Paris. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church, Wakarusa.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, and one hour prior to the 2 p.m. service Thursday, June 8, all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor David Harper of Bible Baptist Church will officiate.
Burial will take place at New Paris Cemetery.
