Erma L. Wyatt, 84, went to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 15, at Goshen Hospital.
She was born July 9, 1933, in West Virginia, to Johnsie and Verna (Rider) Elswick.
On Jan. 23, 1954, she married John A. Wyatt in Cleveland, Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1989.
She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda (Rick) Miller, Goshen; two grandsons, Brandon and Zachary Miller; and a great-grandson, Grady Miller. As the oldest of eight children, Erma leaves behind seven siblings, Don (Edna) Elswick, Tazewell, Virginia, Euell (Nora) Elswick, Middlebury, Kaye Miller and Darlene (Bill) Conley, both of Goshen, John Paul (Tamara) Elswick, Illinois, Toni (Leon) Askew, Goshen, and Joni Taylor, Elkhart.
Erma attended Calvary Assembly of God, Elkhart, when her health allowed. She enjoyed reading her Bible and was a true believer with a strong faith that leaves no doubt she is rejoicing in heaven with Jesus. Erma delighted in spending time with her family and rejoiced in time spent with great-grandson, Grady.
She worked in production at Johnson Controls for many years. After retirement, she worked in the cafeteria at Goshen High School where she enjoyed interacting with students.
Friends may call Thursday, Jan. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where an 11 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Friday, Jan. 19. Pastor Mark Johnson, Life Tabernacle Church, Elkhart, will officiate.
Burial will follow at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
