Emmit I. Cobb Emmit I. Cobb, 84, Elkhart, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at Goshen Hospital.
He was born April 21, 1934, in Heleville, Alabama, to Joe and Ethel (Dodd) Cobb.
He married Nancy Carper. and she preceded him in death in 1979.
He married Betty Schrist, who preceded him in death in 2011.
Surviving are two sons, James (Carla) Cobb, Leighton, Utah, and Robert J. (Elizabeth) Cobb, Elkhart; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Vaudel (Thomas) Gibson, Merryville, Illinois; two brothers, Autrail (Carmen) Cobb, Columbus, Georgia, and James (Kim) Cobb, Granite City, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.
Emmit served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. He was a member of the DAV in Syracuse, attended the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ in Goshen and was an avid John Wayne fan.
Cremation will take place. A celebration of life service for Emmit will be held at a later date in St. Louis, Missouri.
Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with his care.

He was always a happy go lucky guy!!
