Elsie J. (Freed) Minier, 80, Goshen, died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, at Greencroft.
She was born June 13, 1937, in Huntington, to James and June (Fizel) Freed.
On June 23, 1957, she married Richard O. Minier. He died April 6, 2012.
Elsie is survived by her sons, Richard (Mary) Minier, Elkhart, and Christopher Minier, Goshen; daughter, Laura Minier Hill, Elkhart; grandchildren, James, Jessica, Brevin, Teage, Jennifer; and great-grandchildren, Jullian and Jericho.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard.
Elsie worked as a dietician at Goshen Hospital and was a member of St. Mary's Orthodox Church, Goshen. She loved her family and her church family. She was a kind and compassionate person who loved and lived a full life.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, and 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, with a service following at 5 p.m., all at St. Mary's Orthodox Church, 65159 C.R. 33, Goshen.
A graveside service will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Father Matthew Wade will officiate.
