Eleanor Ruth Parker


Eleanor Ruth Parker, 93, Wakarusa, died at 3:25 a.m. Sunday, March 17, at Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
She was born March 7, 1926, in Middlebury, to George E. and Violet E. (Scott) Replogle.
On April 7, 1946, she married William Edward Parker in West Milton, Ohio. He died June 3, 2010.
Surviving are daughters, Clara (Jeff) Rohrer, Goshen, Arlene (Juan) Pena, New Paris, and Darlene (Walt) Bruchey, Greensville, Ohio; sons, Don (Connie) Parker, Melbourne, Florida, and Dave Parker (Tena Sommerville), Elkhart; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Retha Corbin, Joliet, Illinois; and brother, Thomas W. (Alice ) Replogle, Tipp City, Ohio.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, William "Ed"; brother, George "Elgin" Replogle; sister, Nancy E. Schlafman; brother-in-law, Laverne Corbin; and two great-grandsons.
Eleanor was a homemaker and a member of the Dunkard Brethren Church, Greene Road, Goshen.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 22, with a funeral service to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa. Pastor Terry Gunderman of the Dunkard Brethren Church will officiate.
Burial will follow at Union Center Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Dunkard Brethren Church.
