Eldon R. Mast, 99, Elkhart, died noon, Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
He was born April 19, 1918, in Elkhart County, to Albert H. and Goldie C. (Culp) Mast.
He married Elsie (Golden) Mast, Dec. 19, 1943.
Surviving are his wife, Elsie, Elkhart; daughter, Nancy (Steven) Cohen, Westlake Village, California; sons, Stanley R. (Jan Wright) Mast, Bristol, David E. (Rebecca) Mast, Goshen; grandchildren, Ashley (Franck) Flores, Germany, Taylor Severn, Westlake Village, California; brother, Rev. Floran (Naomi) Mast, Elkhart; sister-in-law, Nila Mast, Elkhart.
Preceding him in death are his parents; sister, Miriam Sloat; and brother, Paul Mast.
Eldon was a 1936 graduate of Wakarusa High School and a member of Bethel Missionary Church.
He enjoyed making music with his harmonica, fishing, woodworking, having birds around his home and playing horseshoes.
Eldon was a construction worker with Mast Construction, Elkhart, for 40 years, retiring in 1984.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa, and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Bethel Missionary Church, 63503 C.R. 7, Goshen. Pastor Joel Gentz will officiate.
Burial will follow at Olive (East) Cemetery.
