Edward D. Hochstetler, 90, Nappanee, died at 7 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at Goshen Hospital.
He was born Oct. 22, 1927, in Nappanee, to Daniel I. and Barbara (Schmucker) Hochstetler.
On Jan. 18, 1951, he married Rachel Hostetler in Nappanee.
Edward was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was a lifetime area resident and worked many years as a factory worker.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel; children, Norma Jean (Ira A.) Borntreger, Milladore, Wisconsin, Dale W. (Kathryn) Hochstetler, Nappanee, Glen R. (Kathryn) Hochstetler, Millersburg, Linda M. (Glen W.) Weaver, Shipshewana, Lorene K. (Tom) Marvel, Etna Green; 24 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; brother, Leroy (Lydia Mae) Hochstetler, Plain City, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Katie Slabaugh, Lydia Mae Hochstetler and Alma Hochstetler; brothers, Ivan, Milo, Ervin and Alvin Hochstetler; and one great-grandson.
Family and friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, and all day Sunday, Nov. 19 at the Richard Miller residence, 8767 W. 1350 North, where funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20. The home ministers of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate.
Burial will follow at Weldy Cemetery.
