Dr. Randall's Story

Dr. Randall L. Mauck, 82, Logansport, passed away Sunday, Oct. 29, at Miller's Merry Manor, Logansport.
Born Nov. 10, 1934, in Middlebury, to R. Brian and S. Alice (Caton) Mauck.
On July 7, 1957, in Union City, he married Sally Sue Riegel, who survives.
Randy was retired assistant superintendent of Logansport Schools. He also worked as a marketing director for Schenkel & Shultz Architecture.
He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, past president of Indiana Association of School Business Officials, foundation director of IASBO, United Way chairman, Lions Club member, Elks Club member, member of First United Methodist Church, Library Board, Historical Society past president, Carousel Board and was on the Church Board.
He was a graduate of Middlebury High School and Ball State University with bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in education.
Survivors include his wife and one daughter, Michele L. (Mark) Long, Logansport; two sons, Mark A. (Jane) Mauck, Martinsville, and Mitchell (Jennifer) Mauck, Carmel; two grandsons, Ryan (Shae) Long, Goshen, and Gage Mauck, Carmel; seven granddaughters, Molly Long and Kahla Long, both of Logansport, Julia Mauck, Indianapolis, Caroline Mauck, Martinsville, Sara Mauck, Hanna Mauck and Lily Mauck, all of Carmel; great-grandson, Myles Randall Long; and great-granddaughter on the way, Stella Diane Long.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helen Yoder.
A celebration of life will take place Friday Nov. 3, at 5 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Logansport with the Rev. Beth Ann Cook officiating.
Private burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at the church on Friday.
