Doris Jean Nunemaker, 88, Goshen, died at 8:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at her home.
She was born March 25, 1929, in Elkhart County, to Charles O. and Goldie (Weldy) Wenger.
She married John Nunemaker Aug. 28, 1948.
Surviving are her husband, John, Goshen; daughter, Connie (Mark) Haarer, Goshen; sons, Dale (Edna) Nunemaker and Robert (Gwen) Nunemaker, both of Goshen, and Brian (Nancy) Nunemaker, Coldwater, Michigan; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Helen Alexander, Banning, California, Vada Blosser, Wakarusa, David (Marlene) Wenger, Elkhart, Kenneth (Pat) Wenger, Osceola, Phyllis (Larry) Stauffer, Goshen, and Larry (Terry) Wenger, Surprise, Arizona; sisters-in-law, Wilma Wenger, Goshen, and Carolyn Reum, Granger; and a brother-in-law, Merrill Yoder, Wakarusa.
Preceding her in death are her parents; daughter, Sandra Garber; two grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; siblings, Fay Yoder, Myrtle Kehr, Leota Yoder, Lester Wenger and Charles "Chuck" Wenger.
Doris was secretary/owner of Nunemaker Fertilizer that she operated with her husband. She was a member of Holdeman Mennonite Church and enjoyed hunting and quilting.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa, and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. service Monday, Aug. 21, at Holdeman Mennonite Church, 65723 C.R. 1, Wakarusa. Pastor Randy Detweiler and Pastor BJ Leichty will officiate.
Burial will follow at Olive (East) Cemetery.
