Doris Lucille Berlin, 92, Pierceton, passed away Monday, Oct. 2, at 1:15 p.m. in Visiting Nurses & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
She was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Pierceton, to Alfred Ray and Trilby (Droud) Linn. She was a lifetime Pierceton resident.
On April 24, 1948, she was united in marriage to John Martin Berlin in Warsaw. She was a proud homemaker and loved all parts of tending to her family and home. She also worked at Kirkham Greenhouse in Pierceton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pierceton. In addition, she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, completing crossword puzzles, music, singing, baby sitting and mending.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Berlin, Fort Wayne, and Brett Berlin, Pierceton; daughter, Kristy Mayer, Warsaw; brother, Clifford Linn, Pierceton; grandson, Daniel Mayer, Milford; and faithful companions, her dog, Rusty, and two cats.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, Oct. 13, 1976. Also preceding her in death are sister, Georgia Bell; grandson, David Mayer; and her parents.
Visitation is scheduled for 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6. Pastor Mark Fishburn will officiate.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
