Donald D. Troyer, 87, Forsyth, passed away Tuesday, May 9, at Heritage Health, Mount Zion.
Don was born Oct. 19, 1929, in Goshen, Indiana, the son of Oscar and Laura (Weaver) Troyer.
A member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Don worked as a farmer and truck driver. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus council in Goshen, Indiana, and a member of Teamsters Local 710 and 722. He loved to attend antique tractor shows.
Don married Dolores A. Oscar Sept. 18, 1978.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores; sons, Randy (Linda) Troyer, Douglas Troyer and Dennis Troyer; daughters, Pamela (Randy) Krug, Vicki (Lorris) Miller, Karen (Rex) Heil, and Joan Bryan; grandchildren, Jeff and Jeremy Troyer, Rene, Jay, Lance and Trenton Miller, Lauri Gomez, Christi Shomaker, Ross and Gretchen Heil and Heather Bryan; 19 great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Christine (Tony) Davis, Jacqueline (Fred) Jones and Pamela (Kevin) Harper; stepgrandchildren, Patty and Billy Sweet, John LeForge, Katie Burns, Rudy LeForge, Matthew Jones, Adam and Madison Harper; 13 stepgreat-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Schmidt; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerald.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, Decatur, with a vigil prayer service at 4:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate his life will begin 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur, with the Rev. Richard Weltin as celebrant.
Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
