Daniel N. Bontrager, 85, Topeka, died at 2:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 27, 1932, in LaGrange County, to Noah B. and Lena J. (Eash) Bontrager.
On April 12, 1956, in Topeka, he married Susie Miller, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Wayne (Dorothy) Bontrager, Topeka, and Leroy Bontrager, Wolcottville; two daughters, Irene Bontrager, Guys Mills, Pennsylvania, and Lydiann Bontrager, Topeka; five grandchildren, Marla (Larry) Miller, Beth Ann Bontrager, Kaylene Bontrager, Lavern (Lou Anna) Bontrager and Lavon Bontrager; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Samuel (Esther) Bontrager, Goshen, and John (Esther) Bontrager, Canton, Ohio; sister, Mary (David) Schmucker, Shipshewana; two sisters-in-law, Mary Bontrager, Millersburg, and Lizzie (Ray) Hershberger, Goshen; two brothers-in-law, Lloyd Yoder, Middlebury, and Ora (Ella) Miller, Topeka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Perry Bontrager; and sister, Luella Yoder.
Daniel was a retired feed mill operator and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be all day Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the Lavern Bontrager residence, 2290 W. 700 South, Topeka, where funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. Services will be conducted by Bishop Daniel Lambright and the home ministers.
Burial will be at Clearspring Cemetery, Topeka.
