Clifford L. Holdread, Jr., 87, Goshen, passed away Monday, May 14, peacefully at home.
He was born Aug. 31, 1930, in Goshen to Clifford L. and Mary E. (Dierdorff) Holdread.
Survivors include two sons, Richard and James Holdread; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Loretta M. Isley Holdread, and a sister, Marian Holdread Hoogenboom.
He served in Morocco with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He worked as a supervisor at Penn Controls (Johnson Controls) from 1953-93.
He was a leader of the Moose Lodge since the mid-1970s and governor in the early 1980s and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and traveling around North America. Clifford was a member of First Methodist Church, Goshen, and truly enjoyed his time spent there.
In 2017, he found the Lord with his dear friend, Nancy Lantz Stump.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Marian Hoogenboom Foundation at Goshen Hospital.
