Clara J. Miller, 86, of Milford, died at 10:22 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, at Elkhart General Hospital, after a short illness.
She was born May 25, 1931, in Kosciusko County, to Jonas D. and Barbara M. (Schmucker) Yoder. She was a lifetime area resident.
On April 24, 1952 she married Melvin N. Miller. He preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 2010.
Clara was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by her children, Wayne M. (Barbara L.) Miller, Nappanee, LaMar M. (Naomi) Miller, Floyd M. (Laureen) Miller, Vernon M. (Miriam) Miller, Wilma Jean Miller, Omer M. (Virginia) Miller, Barbara Ann (Glen R.) Miller, all of Milford, and Ernest M. (Esther M.) Miller, Nappanee; 39 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn (Sherrill) Yoder, Elkhart; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Yoder, Nappanee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Miller; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Lydia Mae Hochstetler, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Katie Graber, Barbara Helmuth, Emma Borkholder, Wilma Schlabach; and brothers, Owen and Elmer Yoder.
Family and friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, and all day Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the home residence, 5587 W. 1100 N., Milford.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at Don Schmucker residence, 5509 W. 1050 N., Milford. Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Graber Cemetery.
