Chris Buck, 44, Bristol, passed away at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at his residence. He had fought a hard battle against AML since Aug. 7.
He was born Nov. 6, 1973, in Orange County, California, to Michael and Paula (Kitson) Stopper.
On June 27, 1998, in Middlebury, he married Marcey McCraner, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Layla Buck and two sons, Boden and Wyland Buck, all at home; his mother, Paula Bollman, Bristol; two brothers, Dave (Wanda) Buck, Middlebury, and Jeff Buck of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Chris was currently working for Northern Lakes Overhead Door in Topeka. He was a Harley Davidson and Chevy enthusiast, owning a 1956 Chevy and he enjoyed working on cars. He was very active in his children's lives, attending and often coaching many of their sporting events. He was always working on home projects and liked spending time outdoors. He was a 1992 graduate of Northridge High School and attended Manchester University, where he wrestled for two years. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastor Randy Schroeder.
Memorials may be given to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
