Charlotte Morrill

1932 - 2018

Charlotte J. Morrill, 85, Syracuse, passed away Nov. 5, at Timbercrest Senior Living, North Manchester.
She was born Nov. 28, 1932, in Jasper County, to Ernest and Gladys (Smith) Rees.
Charlotte was a longtime area teacher, having taught in Milford and Columbia City schools for more than 35 years.
She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church where she was very active and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Kosciusko Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Annette) Cook, Syracuse; two daughters, Diane (Charles) Scruggs, Noblesville, and Rita (Mark) Pittman, Carmel; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel Huffman, South Bend; and her longtime companion, John Fisher, Syracuse.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home with Pastor David Herr officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church.

Charlotte and I graduated from Lagro High School in the class of 1950. She was always so full of life and a very classy lady. So sorry to learn of her passing.
