Anna W. Martin, 95, Elkhart, died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, April 12, after a short illness.
On May 31, 1922, in East Earl, Pennsylvania, she was born to the late Amos and Magdalena Martin.
On Nov. 1, 1942, in Churchtown, Pennsylvania, she married Paul Z. Martin, who preceded her in death Sept. 27, 2002.
Surviving are six sons, Amos (Martha) Martin, New Holland, Pennsylvania, Paul Ivan (AnnaMae) Martin, Wakarusa, Clarence (Grace) Martin, Snover, Michigan, Alvin (Mary) Martin, Thorp, Wisconsin, John (Ina) Martin, Argos, Eugene (Ada Mae) Martin, New Holland, Pennsylvania, and five daughters, Miriam (Allen) Nolt, Goshen, Emma (James) Martin, Goshen, Anna Mary (Irvin) Weaver, Elkhart, Martha (Edgar) Martin, Brooten, Minnesota, Bertha (John) Martin, Goshen, and a son-in-law, John Zimmerman, Wakarusa. Also surviving are two brothers, Amos L. (Frances) Martin, Terre Hill, Pennsylvania, and Reuben (Lena) Martin, Ephrata, Pennsylvania, 82 grandchildren, 316 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and 19 stepgrandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband, daughter, Magdalena Zimmerman in 2002, grandson, John Larry Zimmerman in 2000, a son-in-law, Levon Martin in 2001, one great-grandchild, nine sisters and one brother.
Anna was a member of the Old Order Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 17, from 2-8 p.m. at Ramer Mennonite Youth Building, 24647 C.R. 44, Nappanee. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, at 10 a.m. at Yellow Creek Wisler Mennonite Church, Goshen. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Frame Cemetery.
