Andrew C. Troyer, 78, Shipshewana, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at his residence, following a short battle with cancer.
He was born March 4, 1939, in Topeka, to Crist and Susie (Yoder) Troyer.
On May 25, 1965, in LaGrange County, he married Mary A. Miller, who survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Elmina (Joe) Yoder, Shipshewana, Loretta Troyer, Detroit, Michigan, Katie (Mark) Miller and Ruth (Wilson) Dalga, both of Shipshewana; five sons, Daniel (Pauline) Troyer, Bradenton, Florida, Samuel (Loretta) Troyer, LaGrange, John (Doris) Troyer, Middlebury, Amos Jay Troyer, Millersburg, and Andrew Jr. Troyer, Syracuse; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Levi (Viola) Troyer, Middlebury; four sisters, Lydiann (Sam) Kauffman and Mary (Dan) Schrock ,both of Shipshewana, Amanda (John) Miller, Fort Wayne, and Fannie Troyer, Sarasota, Florida; and sister-in-law, Ruby Troyer of Shipshewana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eli Troyer; and sister, Katie Troyer.
Andrew owned Troyer Sales and was a deacon in the Old Order Amish Church.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, and all day Friday, Nov. 17 at the Devon Chupp residence, 950 N. Taylor Drive, Shipshewana.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday,Nov. 18, also at the Devon Chupp residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Perry S. Miller and the home ministers.
Burial will be at East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.
