Alice's Story

Alice Kline, 97, Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Goshen Hospital.
She was born Feb. 1, 1920, in Whitley County, to George and Mary (Banning) Fidler.
On Feb. 27, 1940, she married Harold Kline, who preceded her in death in 1998.
Alice was a lifelong area resident. She attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse. She was a member of the Syracuse American Legion Auxiliary, as well as Mother's Club.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Shirley) Kline, Syracuse; two grandchildren, Jeffery (Kathy) Kline, River Forest, Illinois, and Kimberly Kline, Elkhart; two great-grandchildren, Tom and Olivia; sister, Donna Fidler, Huntertown; sister-in-law, Shirley Fidler, North Webster; and nephew, Greg Fidler, North Webster.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 4, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, where services will begin at 11 a.m. Pastor David Henry will officiate.
Burial will follow at Syracuse Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Syracuse American Legion Auxiliary.
