Albert "Pappy" Hershberger, 86, died Monday, July 10, at his home.
He was born May 31, 1931, in Nappanee, to Owen and Ada (Thomas) Hershberger.
On Sept. 30, 1950, he married Betty Bickel in Goshen.
She survives along with three daughters, Karen (Craig) Dickison, Linda (Dave) Wright and Laura (Doug) Weaver, all of Goshen; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruby Kasevic, Mishawaka.
Albert served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He had a great passion for New Paris Speedway and enjoyed his work as a push truck driver.
Visitation will be Friday, July 14, from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service at West Goshen Church of the Brethren, 1200 Berkey Ave., Goshen. Pastor Norm Replogle will officiate.
Burial will follow at Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
